Dear Lord,
As I look around me I have to give Thanks. Sometimes it's for the things that We have and sometimes it's for what we don't have.
I'm amazed that You chose Me to have a home and a car with all of the things that go with it. A dishwasher was always in my prayers and you've always given me one and the new coffee pot today just came in the nick of time But, You know that. I also had the money for the sweeper when my old one broke and this one even has a retractable cord and can get under the coffee table. You are truly a Marvel to have steered me towards it.
With the cold soon to be here, I'v an electric blanket for my bed and 3 Cats that snuggle and keep me company as I sleep along with a ceramic angel that sit's at my bedside and glows to join the other Angels that You've placed near Me. I have warm coats for the Winter and afghans to throw over me as I sleep on the couch and a job that I enjoy that can pay all of the Bills. You've been very good to Me and have provided this all.
Most importantly, Lord, You've given Me the wonder of My Children and now Grandchildren that set Me on a journey that was beyond my wildest dreams and filled My life with So much Love that I'm humbled by it. They continue to be the brightest spot in my life (next to You), dwarfing all other events and and reminding me that miracles aren't about just burning bushes or the seas parting. Have you ever looked into their eyes?
Though My friends be few, they are steady and sure and you've put them in places within my life where I sorely needed them. Some have stayed on carrying me through so many times of both triumph and sadness while other's came and went to take me through those rough patches. Your timing has always been impeccable.
I just wanted to let You know, Lord that I'v not forgotten You. I can see you in everything from a kind word from a stranger to the infinite Beauty of a falling Star. Your Hand is in everything and I realize that implicitly. With all of that said, a mere "Thank You" doesn't really seem to be enough But, that's all I have and that's all that You want. May I continue to grow in Your eyes and follow the lessons that You've taught Me. May I always feel humble as I stand besides an ancient tree or find a creek that runs through the woods or a rose that is opening it's bloom. These all are the truest of Miracles. May You grant Me the sight to see them everyday. Amen
